UAE Expresses Support for Bahrain Amidst Arrest of IRGC-Linked Operatives

Manama: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, has affirmed the UAE's steadfast solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain. This follows the recent arrest of 15 operatives connected to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) by Bahraini security authorities. The operatives were reportedly involved in executing incitement directives, forming cells linked to illegal entities, and attempting to incite discord within Bahraini society.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the UAE's complete support for Bahrain's actions to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and social stability. The UAE commends the proactive measures undertaken by Bahraini security forces to identify and neutralize the activities of the IRGC-linked organization, ensuring legal proceedings against its members.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the UAE's unequivocal rejection of terrorism and any organizations with foreign agendas, emphasizing the necessity for enhanced regional and international collaboration to counter such threats. He reiterated that Bahrain's security is inextricably linked to that of the UAE and other Gulf Arab states, confirming the UAE's unwavering backing of Bahrain's efforts to maintain security and protect its national accomplishments.
