Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, held a meeting with a parliamentary delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany. The delegation was led by Alexander Radwan, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and part of the parliamentary group focusing on relations with the Middle East and North Africa in the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker reaffirmed his condemnation and rejection of the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He highlighted that Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates had put forth an emergency item to the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. This item condemned the Iranian attacks and was based on United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution 38, which was adopted following an initiative by Bahrain on behalf of the GCC countries and Jordan, as well as United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
The German parliamentary delegation expressed their commitment to continuing bilateral engagement. They emphasized the importance of enhancing parliamentary coordination and cooperation to support shared interests between the two nations.
