Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed 143 ballistic missiles and 244 drones since the beginning of hostile Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain. This achievement is attributed to the unwavering vigilance of BDF personnel, who continue to counter successive waves of aggression.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command expressed pride in the combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by BDF personnel. Their sustained operational effectiveness has been commended, positioning Bahrain's forces as a reliable defense for the Kingdom's skies.
The General Command has urged the public to exercise caution for personal safety, advising citizens and residents to steer clear of affected areas and suspicious objects. They are also advised to refrain from filming military operations or debris sites, avoid spreading unverified information, and rely solely on official government media channels for updates.
Further, the General Command highlighted that the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian areas and private property violates international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. These attacks are seen as a direct threat to regional peace and security.
