Bahrain Responds to Iranian Aggression with Diplomatic and Military Measures

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a phone call from the German President, underscoring international diplomatic engagement amid ongoing regional tensions.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad conveyed the condolences of His Majesty the King to the family of a Bahraini woman who tragically passed away as a result of Iran's hostile aggression. Highlighting the national response, the National Guard Commander emphasized the importance of security and national unity during these challenging times.

The Deputy Prime Minister chaired the 295th Ministerial Committee meeting, further underlining Bahrain's internal strategies to address the recent developments. His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa also extended condolences to the family of a citizen who died following an Iranian attack.

Bahrain's Foreign Minister hailed the United Nations Security Council's adoption of a resolution condemning Iranian attacks as a historic decision aimed at consolidating peace. This resolution received unprecedented support, marking the largest number of backing states in the council's history. The Bahrain Defence Force General Command reported the destruction of 108 missiles and 177 drones since the start of Iranian attacks.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council stated that the UN Security Council resolution condemning Iranian attacks on GCC states and Jordan is clear evidence of Iran's violations of international laws, norms, and charters. This diplomatic achievement is the result of Bahraini diplomatic leadership and joint Gulf and Jordanian efforts, with unprecedented international support.

In a related development, four Bahrainis were arrested for espionage activities linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The Interior Ministry reported that fuel tanks at a facility in the Muharraq Governorate were targeted by Iranian aggression, but Bahrain's Banking and Financial Sector continues to operate normally, demonstrating stability and resilience.

Internationally, the Saudi Defense Ministry, Kuwait air defense, and UAE air defenses have successfully intercepted and destroyed multiple drones and missiles in the region. A commercial vessel, MAYUREE NAREE, was targeted off Oman's coast, and drones were intercepted at several locations, including near Baghdad International Airport.

The Muslim Council of Elders condemned the Iranian attack targeting a residential building in Bahrain, adding to the global rejection of Iranian aggression.
