Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call today from Dr. Khaled El Anany, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral partnership and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and UNESCO in the areas within the Organisation's mandate. They also discussed developments in the region and their implications for the education, culture, and science sectors, particularly with regard to efforts to preserve and protect cultural and natural heritage and to ensure the continuity and safety of those working in the fields of culture, education, and science, especially in light of the multiple conflicts affecting the region.
