Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. During the call, the two sides discussed the deep-rooted historical ties and close relations between the two countries and their peoples, as well as the continued growth and development these relations are witnessing across various levels.
According to Bahrain News Agency, they also reviewed areas of joint coordination and consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in various international fora, particularly the United Nations Security Council, in light of the Kingdom's non-permanent membership for the 2026-2027 term. Discussions focused on international issues addressed by the Council, including matters related to the Middle East.
The two ministers also discussed the latest regional developments, including the ongoing Iranian aggression and missile attacks targeting the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which have resulted in loss of life and property, in addition to exchanging views on a number of issues and topics of mutual interest.
