Manama: Bahrain Clear, a fully-owned subsidiary of Bahrain Bourse, announced that it has successfully distributed cash dividend distributions during the year 2025, amounting to BD 390.01 million. Of this total, BD 385.02 million was distributed under the 'Annual Cash Dividends Fund' on behalf of 32 companies to 56,792 entitled shareholders, representing 97.5% of the total amount received.
According to Bahrain News Agency, an additional BD 4.99 million was distributed in 2025 under the 'Accumulated Cash Dividends Fund' for unclaimed dividends from previous years. Bahrain Clear manages the distribution process for all listed companies, with 32 listed securities declaring dividends for the financial year ending December 31, 2024. Investors received their dividends via IBAN bank transfers, adhering to the Listing Rules, which mandate distribution within a maximum of 10 market days from the Record Date.
Abdulla Abdin, Chief Operating Officer of Bahrain Clear, stated that Bahrain Clear is committed to updating investor information to ensure accurate and transparent dividend receipt. He highlighted that the dividend distribution process in 2025 saw a 7% increase in total distributed dividends compared to the previous year. Abdin emphasized Bahrain Clear's dedication to enhancing investor confidence and aligning services with global best practices. 'Amanat' is an Investor Protection Funds Programme ensuring investor protection and the administration of cash dividend distribution for all listed companies, including provisions for unclaimed dividends. Established in May 2020 under Ministerial Cabinet Decision 2020/48-2, the programme ensures the right to claim cash dividends due to shareholders is imprescriptible, as per Article (10) of the Amanat decision 3/2020.
