Industry Ministry Introduces Efficient Leasing Service for Industrial Plots

Manama: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced a significant development in its service offerings with the introduction of an industrial plots leasing service. This move is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and streamline procedures to improve the experience for beneficiaries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry has updated the review and approval process for leasing requests, which has resulted in expedited procedures and the elimination of several previously required documents. Key documents such as copies of the investor's ID or passport, company organizational structure, and product images are no longer necessary. This improvement was made possible through system integration with other government entities and the automation of internal review processes.

Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, stated that the new service exemplifies the Ministry's commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and the optimal use of resources. This initiative is designed to reduce the time and effort required from beneficiaries.

The development is in line with broader government initiatives, which have seen the documentation and publication of over 1,300 services. Additionally, around 800 services have been reengineered across various government sectors to support service quality improvement and digital transformation.
