Manama: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), welcomed the Royal Order designating this year the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer" in tribute to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the founder of modern Bahrain and key figure in its state-building and institutional progress.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed described the order as a fitting national recognition of HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali's leadership during a critical era, which united Bahrain's diverse communities and established the nation's identity based on tolerance and loyalty.
Shaikh Abdulrahman highlighted that HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali's reign marked Bahrain's transition from traditional governance to a modern constitutional state, laying the foundations for the rule of law and institutional development that positioned Bahrain as a regional pioneer.
Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed noted that Bahrain's current growth and stability under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, build upon this strong legacy, making the Kingdom a model of balanced and steady governance.
