Rome: A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Italy on Saturday morning. Civil protection authorities and the fire service reported no injuries, damage, or requests for assistance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology said the epicentre was located about 20 kilometres off the southern coast of the Calabria region. The tremor was felt in southern parts of the Italian peninsula and on the island of Sicily.
