KHK Team Triumphs in 29th Al Maktoum Cup for Traditional Rowing

Manama: The KHK team was crowned champion of the 29th Al Maktoum Cup for Traditional Rowing in the 30-foot boats category, following a strong performance in the qualifying rounds and the final race, which was held in the United Arab Emirates. The result confirmed the team's prominent status as one of the leading competitors in traditional rowing races.

According to Bahrain News Agency, KHK team, under His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and led by skipper Ahmed Nasser Al Busmait, achieved victory following strong coordination among crew members, alongside physical and technical readiness that enabled the team to maintain control from the early rounds and secure first place in the final race amid strong competition from the participating teams.

This achievement adds to KHK team's distinguished record in the prestigious championship, having previously won the title in 2020 and 2021. The team's return to the podium once again confirms its continued excellence in traditional rowing competitions for the 30-foot boats category.
