Riffa: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, attended the "Southern Celebrations" festival at Khalifa Grand Park in Riffa. The event is part of the ongoing series of festivities marking the Kingdom's National Days celebrations and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne, along with other national events.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali emphasized that the festival reflects the continuous efforts to revive the governorate's heritage and preserve the customs and traditions handed down through generations.
The Governor highlighted that the festival is a component of a broader series of activities and programs aimed at strengthening community partnerships and promoting values of belonging and citizenship. Additionally, the festival serves as a platform to introduce visitors to the governorate's rich heritage, traditional crafts, professions, and industries.
