Forty Concepts Advance to Next Phase of Government Innovation Competition

Manama: Forty concepts have successfully qualified for the next stage of the seventh edition of the Government Innovation Competition, known as Fikra. This advancement marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to foster innovation within government operations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, a committee of specialized government officials, working in coordination with the relevant authorities, will assess the qualified concepts. From this pool, twelve will be selected to proceed further. To equip the participants for this critical phase, an intensive training course focused on presentation skills will be conducted. This training, in collaboration with Babson College from the United States, aims to prepare individuals and groups for their presentations to a committee of specialists. The course is scheduled to conclude on 15 December, paving the way for the subsequent phase of the competition.

The Fikra competition is designed to enhance government work and encourage a culture of creativity and innovation, aligning with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. This vision prioritizes sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness. The competition underscores the importance of involving all public sector employees in the Kingdom's ongoing development initiatives.
