LMRA and stc Pay Collaborate to Enhance Workers’ Rights Protection

Manama: Nibras Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, met with Khalid Al Osaimi, CEO of stc Bahrain and Chairman of stc Pay Bahrain. Talib highlighted the importance of developing partnerships with the private sector to uphold Bahrain's significant role in the labour market and ensure the protection of workers' rights.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Talib praised stc Pay for integrating its digital wallet services with the Wage Protection System. This integration allows employers to disburse salaries electronically through a unified platform, enhancing the protection of workers' rights and contributing to the stability of the labor market. Furthermore, Talib noted that stc Pay is one of the pioneering financial institutions in Bahrain to adjust its procedures in support of electronic salary payments.

The discussion between Talib and Al Osaimi also addressed collaborative initiatives, focusing particularly on national efforts to uphold Bahrain's regional and international reputation in labor market governance and the fight against human trafficking.
