Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Sign MoU to Boost Sustainable Development Cooperation

Manama: On the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Economy and Planning in Saudi Arabia to enhance cooperation in sustainable development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoU was signed by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia. The agreement aims to enhance collaboration in sustainable development through the exchange of expertise and capacity building, raising public awareness on sustainable development issues, developing policies, and implementing joint programmes to support future visions and advance sustainable economic growth in both countries.

Minister Alkhulaif emphasised the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and the importance of advancing partnership and coordination with Saudi Arabia to achieve more integrated cooperation across various domains, particularly in sustainable development, in support of shared goals and aspirations.
