Deputy Prime Minister Commends Outgoing Al Bilad Editor-In-Chief

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Moanis Mahmoud Mohamed Al Mardi, outgoing Editor-in-Chief of Al Bilad newspaper. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah emphasized the significant role Bahrain's press has played in the national media landscape, attributing its success to the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that this support has facilitated the growth of the media sector and its contribution to national development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that the advancements achieved by Bahrain's media institutions are a testament to the accumulated experience of generations of journalists. He praised the dedication of national professionals who continue to elevate the sector amidst rapid changes while upholding high standards.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah expressed his appreciation for Al Merdhi's extensive career of more than forty years in Bahraini journalism and his leadership at Al Bilad since its inception in 2008. He also recognized Al Merdhi's contributions during his tenure at the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), which helped further the organization's mission in serving the media community. The Deputy Prime Minister wished him success in his future endeavors.

In response, Al Merdhi expressed his gratitude for the trust and support he received throughout his career and reaffirmed his commitment to the ongoing development of the media sector.
