Marrakesh: Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, Deputy Minister of Interior, led the Kingdom of Bahrain's delegation to the 93rd International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) General Assembly, held in Marrakesh, the Kingdom of Morocco.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meetings focused on supporting international efforts against organised crime and strengthening security systems. Key topics included enhancing international cooperation in combating organised crime and asset recovery, data protection, and reviewing INTERPOL's strategic directions for 2026-2030. Additionally, organisational and administrative decisions were adopted to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of international policing.
The assembly also saw elections for the INTERPOL President and several members of the Executive Committee.
