Foreign Minister Engages in Strategic Talks with UK Official on Regional Stability

London: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Hamish Falconer, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, during his visit to attend the second session of the Bahrain-UK Strategic Dialogue. The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the UK, exploring avenues for cooperation, and emphasizing the importance of political consultations on global issues to benefit both nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions underscored the need for ongoing diplomatic coordination in international forums, the sharing of expertise, and collaboration during Bahrain's upcoming non-permanent membership on the UN Security Council for the next two years. The meeting also reviewed regional developments, including efforts to maintain a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in accordance with the peace plan proposed by Donald Trump, President of the United States, and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza.

Additional topics included efforts to resolve regional conflicts, reduce tensions in regions such as Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, and Libya, and promote regional peace, security, and stability.
