Raggi Receives Lavrov’s Independence Message, Welcomes UN’s Plasschaert

Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi on Wednesday welcomed Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, who delivered a letter of congratulations from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of Lebanon's Independence Day. Rudakov also outlined Russia's position on UN Security Council Resolution 2803, which endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump's plan regarding Gaza. The meeting also touched on the latest developments in the war in Ukraine.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Raggi later met with the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, with whom he discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the wider region.
