HM King of Bahrain and Malaysian King Strengthen Ties During Police Fort Visit

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed His Majesty King Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Malaysia during the Malaysian King's state visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The two monarchs engaged in discussions underscoring the strong and longstanding relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia, with a shared commitment to further enhancing these ties for the benefit of their citizens.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit included a tour of the Police Fort where the leaders were greeted by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Interior, and a mounted police escort. The police band played the national anthems of both nations, followed by a guard of honour and a ceremonial display by the police band. His Majesty King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the robust bilateral relations, especially in security cooperation, and praised the dedication and professionalism of Bahrain's security personnel.

His Majesty the King of Malaysia expressed his admiration for the Ministry of Interior's professionalism, signing the visitors' book to convey his pleasure and appreciation. He extended his best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad. A commemorative gift was presented to the Malaysian King to mark the occasion.

The visit concluded with discussions between the two monarchs, emphasizing their mutual commitment to strengthening relations and cooperation in various fields that serve their mutual interests.
