Manama: The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has announced that applications for the fifth edition of the Bahraini Female Entrepreneur Seal "Imtiaz" are now open until November 30. This initiative invites Bahraini businesswomen to participate and share their success stories, experiences, and notable projects in the field of entrepreneurship.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative is designed to recognize young Bahraini women entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in their ventures. It also aims to highlight the significant contributions of Bahraini women in entrepreneurship, encouraging more women to explore freelance work as a viable and promising career path. This initiative contributes to enhancing women's participation in the labor market and supports national economic development.
Eligible applicants must meet specific criteria, including Bahraini nationality, being under 45 years of age, having a minimum of three years' experience in entrepreneurship, providing a financial report of their business or project, and possessing an official business license in their name or with at least a 50% partnership. The business must focus on sales, purchases, or service provision.
Launched under the directive of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of SCW, the initiative was established under Decision Edict 10 of 2011. It has seen significant growth across its previous editions, starting with 11 entrepreneurs in its inaugural edition and expanding to 98 participants in the fourth edition across various sectors.
