Manama: The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club has partnered with Spartan Fitness, a leading fitness club in Bahrain, to serve as the official fitness partner for the Bahrain Jockeys training programme. This collaboration aligns with REHC's objective to build robust partnerships with both public and private institutions to bolster the horseracing industry in Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement designates Spartan Fitness as the official fitness partner for the Bahrain Jockeys training programme, organized by the Jockey Foundation for the 2025-2026 horseracing season. The agreement was formalized with signatures from Mohammed Al Nema, Acting Director of the Jockey Foundation, and David Erdelyi, Director of Recreation at Spartan Fitness. Spartan Fitness is set to provide fitness training to enhance the physical readiness of Bahraini jockeys involved in the Foundation's training schemes.
Al Nema emphasized the significance of this partnership in advancing the training programmes overseen by the Foundation, acknowledging the expertise Spartan Fitness brings in physical training and preparation. He voiced gratitude towards Spartan Fitness's management for their ongoing support and commitment to sports activities within Bahrain.
Erdelyi noted that the collaboration is a testament to Spartan Fitness's commitment to fostering the sports sector and achieving mutual objectives in training and preparing new Bahraini jockeys. This is consistent with the company's broader mission to support young athletes throughout the Kingdom.
