Manama: Bapco Energies, the company leading the energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has renewed its sponsorship with the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), continuing as the Official Energy Partner for three consecutive racing seasons starting from 2025-2026. The renewal reflects the shared commitment of both sides to supporting and developing horseracing in Bahrain and strengthening its leading status internationally.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the diamond sponsorship covers several major races and international championships organised by REHC, including His Majesty the King's Cup Festival, the Bahrain Derby held within the Crown Prince's Cup Festival, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa's Cup, the Bahrain International Trophy, and the Al Fateh Cup as part of the Bahrain International Horseracing Championship.
The agreement was signed by Yusuf Osama Buheji, Chief Executive Officer of REHC, and Mark Thomas, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bapco Energies, in the presence of a number of officials.
On this occasion, Yusuf Buheji expressed REHC's pride in its ongoing strategic partnership with Bapco Energies, noting that this cooperation reflects the Group's commitment to advancing national sporting events and would add to the success of the major races and international championships hosted by REHC over the next three seasons.
Buheji added that Bapco Energies' role in the major races, particularly His Majesty the King's Cup Festival, is a key factor in the success of these events and would continue to motivate REHC to further elevate the level of local and international racing in line with the Kingdom's position internationally.

He also reiterated Bapco Energies' commitment as a key partner of the Bahrain International Trophy for the seventh consecutive year.
In addition, he highlighted the Group's continued support for the Bahrain Turf Series, reflecting its dedication to promoting international sporting excellence.
