Kuwait city: Sahar Rashid Al Mannai, Chief Executive Officer of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), participated in the GCC Meeting of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies, held in the State of Kuwait and organised by the GCC Secretariat-General.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and coordination among pension and social security bodies across the GCC, reviewing progress from 2023-2026, and setting priorities for 2026-2030. Key discussions included advancing system development, promoting regional integration in social protection, and expanding joint training and research programmes.
Al Mannai also attended a ceremony recognising leading figures from GCC states who have made significant contributions to retirement and social security sectors. She commended Kuwait and the GCC Secretariat-General for their efforts in organising the event and highlighted the meeting's outcomes as a demonstration of effective regional collaboration in social protection.
