Shaikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Attends British University of Bahrain Graduation Ceremony

Sakhir: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, attended the 2025 graduation ceremony of the British University of Bahrain, held at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. The event saw the presence of members of the Royal Family, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, and Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid highlighted the importance of the partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting education in Bahrain. He stated that this collaboration is a result of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This partnership aims to enhance education at all levels and prepare national talent for the labor market.

He emphasized that investing in education, especially higher education, showcases the government's dedication to creating an advanced learning environment. The encouragement of private sector involvement in forming academic partnerships with international institutions helps diversify academic options, expand students' knowledge, and enrich their university experience. This initiative supports Bahrain's efforts toward sustainable human development.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the Higher Education Council's role in monitoring and improving the quality of university education. He recognized their efforts in aligning academic programs with international standards, which strengthens the performance and competitiveness of higher education institutions. He also acknowledged the British University of Bahrain for enhancing the learning environment and ensuring student success.

He extended his congratulations to the graduates and their families, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

During the ceremony, Dr. Juma spoke about the significant progress in the Kingdom's higher education sector, attributing this advancement to the leadership of His Majesty the King and the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Education Minister expressed gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for attending the event and reaffirmed the Higher Education Council's commitment to supporting all higher education institutions in Bahrain in their growth and development.
