Geneva: The Parliamentary Division participated in the proceedings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union's Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, held as part of the 151st IPU Assembly in Geneva. Representing the Kingdom of Bahrain were Dalal Jassim Al Zayed, Shura Council Member, MP Dr. Mahdi Abdulaziz Al Shuweikh, Member of Parliament, and Hala Ramzi Fayez, Shura Council Member.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee approved a draft resolution titled "Acknowledging and Supporting Victims of Illegal Intercountry Adoption and Preventing Future Violations," which will be presented to the IPU Governing Council on Thursday.
