Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, received His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, during the prince's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Third Asian Youth Games, held from October 22-31.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad extended a warm welcome to HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, highlighting the strong ties between Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. His Highness noted the significance of the Games in strengthening sports relations among Asian nations and praised the extensive participation of delegations. He expressed his best wishes for the Jordanian team's success in the competitions.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also welcomed His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, who arrived in Bahrain to attend the Third Asian Youth Games. His Highness acknowledged the historical relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of sports cooperation encouraged by the leadership of both nations to fulfill their peoples' aspirations.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad stressed the value of Saudi Arabia's participation in the Asian Youth Games as a means to enhance collaboration between the olympic committees of both countries. He advocated for the exchange of expertise and the promotion of initiatives aimed at advancing the olympic movement and empowering youth in sports.
