Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received a delegation of US Congress members led by Congressman Darin LaHood. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized the strategic significance of the Bahraini-US relationship and its ongoing development across various sectors. His Highness highlighted the necessity of continuing coordinated efforts to bolster regional and international security and stability, while advancing mutual interests. He reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to sustaining its longstanding partnership with the United States.
The discussions during the meeting covered topics of mutual interest and reviewed current regional and international developments. The focus was also on exploring ways to enhance cooperation in the forthcoming phase.
