Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several significant local events from the past 24 hours. Notably, the successful hosting of the 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix was celebrated with landmarks across Bahrain being illuminated in the McLaren team colors. This gesture came as HM King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister exchanged congratulations on the event's success. According to Bahrain News Agency, other prominent events included the Commander-in-Chief meeting with the New Zealand Defence Force Chief, and under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, the third edition of the AI in sports conference is set to be held. Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister led the weekly cabinet meeting, and the Southern Governor inaugurated Bahrain's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. Bahrain also condemned the attacks on displacement camps in Sudan. In diplomatic engagements, the Foreign Minister received a former UK Senior Defence Adviser, while the Finance Minister inaugurated PwC's Regional Centre of E xcellence. The Transportation Minister met with the UNDP Resident Representative, and the Municipalities Minister held discussions with the UAE Climate Change Minister in Abu Dhabi. Further fostering international relations, the Saudi Ambassador visited King Fahd Causeway, and Bahrain took part in the 13th Executive Council meeting of the Customs Union Authority. In a notable achievement, Bahrain secured membership in the AHRC. Meanwhile, the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) opened registration for the third batch of the Technical Development Programme (TTDP).
