Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director-General of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), met with Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG), on the sidelines of the 24th session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA). The meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation between BIPA and the United Nations in the domains of training and scientific research, in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa emphasised BIPA's commitment to building strategic partnerships with leading international organisations, particularly in developing human capital and empowering national competencies through innovative training programmes aligned with development needs in the administrative field across the public and private sectors.
She highlighted the importance of exchanging scientific and research expertise to advance various training plans and programmes, as well as the need to benefit from successful international best practices in integrating the SDGs into training and research initiatives, thereby supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain's developmental aspirations.
