Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 2,032.80 points, marking a decrease of 12.22 points below the previous closing. This decline was primarily influenced by a drop in the material sector and the consumer staple sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index managed to close higher at 1,002.92 points, marking an increase of 23.93 points above the previous closing. The results of the trading session showed that 267 equity transactions took place, with a substantial volume of 12,953,425 shares, amounting to a total value of BD 3,397,565.
Investors showed a preference for the financial sector, which accounted for 80.44% of the total value of securities traded during the session. This emphasis on the financial sector indicates a continued interest in this area despite the overall decline in the All Share Index.
