CBB Treasury Bills Oversubscribed by 124% as Demand Surges

Manama: This week's BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 124%. The bills, with a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date for these bills is April 2, and they will mature on July 2.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest for this issue is 5.27%, which is consistent with the previous issue dated March 26. The approximate average price recorded for this issue was 98.686%, with the lowest accepted price at 98.584%.

This particular issuance is identified as issue No.2063 (ISIN BH000353H560) of the Government Treasury Bills. This development brings the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills to BD 2.110 billion.
