Manama: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, met with hotel sector representatives at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. Al Sairafi said that the success of Bahrain Festive Season 2024 was the result of close public-private cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasised that hotels are a key part of Bahrain's tourism infrastructure, commending the role of hotels in the success of the Bahrain Festive Season 2024 by hosting various events and offering attractive tourism packages in collaboration with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA). She highlighted that this reflects the commitment to enhancing partnerships across the tourism sector, improving service quality, and enhancing visitor experiences in Bahrain.
Sarah Ahmed Buheji, CEO of BTEA, noted that private sector collaboration is fundamental to the growth of tourism, highlighting the authority's ongoing efforts to work with hotels to boost Bahrain's competitiveness as a tourist destination under the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026. She added that the success of Bahrain Festive Season 2024 was driven by a collective effort and teamwork, contributing to further achievements in the tourism sector, which is a key pillar of Bahrain's economic growth.
The hotel sector representatives expressed their appreciation for the efforts of tourism officials, commending BTEA's initiatives to promote Bahrain as a leading regional and international destination and enhance the country's position on the global tourism map, ultimately supporting improved tourism indicators.
