Bahrain and UK Forge Stronger Agricultural Development Ties

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, met with Alastair Long, British Ambassador to Bahrain, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in agricultural development. The minister highlighted the longstanding Bahrain-UK relations and emphasised their collaboration in municipal and agricultural affairs. He underscored the importance of adopting innovative solutions and advanced technologies to improve agricultural production in terms of quality, quantity, and sustainability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassador commended the strong partnership in the municipal and agricultural sectors and reaffirmed the UK's commitment to further strengthening cooperation. During the meeting, company representatives and agricultural experts provided an overview of ongoing collaboration with Bahrain, showcasing cutting-edge agricultural technologies developed by UK universities, research institutions, and firms. They also presented ongoing research initiatives and innovative technological solutions aimed at advancing agricultural development.
