Manama: Ambassador Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received Dr. Ahmed bin Talib Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of Oman's National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking, and his delegation. Dr. Bucheeri highlighted the strong historical ties between Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, reinforced by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's recent visit to Oman. He emphasised Bahrain's commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in protecting human rights.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Omani delegation commended Bahrain's developmental efforts and leadership, underscoring the importance of enhancing collaboration and sharing expertise to support sustainable development goals. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in human rights, combat human trafficking, and exchange experiences to protect migrant workers' rights in line with national and international commitments.
