Manama: Nibras Mohamed Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, welcomed Lord Tariq Ahmad, former UK Minister for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, United Nations, and the Commonwealth, during his visit to Bahrain. The meeting centered on enhancing the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, with a focus on ongoing cooperation and the promotion of humanitarian principles within the workplace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the LMRA CEO praised Bahrain's initiatives to bolster its legislative and procedural frameworks. These efforts aim to ensure a stable and equitable work environment that protects the rights of both employers and employees. The discussions also covered Bahrain's initiatives to combat human trafficking and promote human rights in line with regional and international standards.
