Manama: Government Hospitals hosted Professor Arnaud Picard, Head of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at Necker Children's Hospital, Paris. In collaboration with Dr. Ahmed Jamal Al Haddad's team, Professor Picard successfully performed 12 surgeries addressing congenital defects like cleft lip and palate.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Professor Arnaud Picard participated as part of the visiting doctors programme, which brings international expertise to address complex and rare cases, particularly in the plastic surgery unit at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
Dr. Hazem Habib Al Aali, Chief Of Medical Services For Surgical Departments, emphasized that such initiatives play a key role in enhancing the quality of medical services in government hospitals.
