Council of Representatives Speaker congratulates Morocco

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal sent cables of congratulations to Moroccan House of Representatives Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami and House of Councillors President Naam Mayara on the occasion of the King and People’s Revolution Day.

The Speaker hailed strong fraternal relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

She noted the advanced level of parliamentary cooperation, wishing the people of Morocco further progress and prosperity, under its wise leadership.

The Speaker also sent a similar congratulatory cable to Moroccan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mustapha Benkhayi.

NIHR launches fellowship research programme

The ninth edition of the fellowship research programme in human rights has been officially launched.

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) is holding the programme for trainees from the University of Bahrain, as well as the “Forsa”, scheme which is run by the Ministry of Labour.

The institution will deliver lectures and workshops related to human rights as part of the training programme, which also features field visits to official entities to learn about books and publications at their libraries.

Participants will be trained on how to hold public events. They will be involved in events organized by the institution.
