HM King performs Eid Al-Fitr prayers

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today performed Eid Al-Fitr prayers at Al-Sakhir Palace Mosque.

 

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HM the King’s sons and senior members of the Royal Family also performed the prayers.

 

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Ali Bu Jandal delivered a sermon in which he highlighted the noble values embedded in Eid Al-Fitr, namely fraternity, cordiality and compassion.

 

He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HM King Hamad with abundant health, happiness and long life so as to continue bringing about more achievements to the nation.

 

He also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people everlasting security, safety, progress and prosperity, under HM the King’s leadership, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept everyone’s fasting, night prayers and good deeds.

 

Following the prayers and the sermon, HM King Hamad exchanged greetings and good wishes with worshippers, wishing the kingdom and its people, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns and further progress and prosperity.

 

The worshippers extended their heartfelt congratulations on this occasion, wishing HM the King abundant good health, happiness and long life, as well as continued success in enhancing the progress and prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

HM King receives call from Pakistani Premier

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a telephone call from Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.

They exchanged Eid Al Fitr congratulations, wishing both countries and peoples as well as the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns and further growth and prosperity.

Works Minister receives lawmaker

Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, received member of the Representatives Council, Fatima Al Qatari, the representative of the second constituency in the Northern Governorate.

The meeting was attended by the ministry’s Undersecretary for Works Affairs, Eng. Ahmed Al Khayat, Northern Municipality Director General, Eng. Lamia Al Fadhala, and senior officials from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

The minister praised the role of members of the legislative branch in serving the nation and citizens, stressing the importance of cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to serve the public interest.

The meeting spotlighted a number of issues related to the second constituency in the Northern Governorate and developing the services and municipal projects there.

Man accused of hacking ATM machine remanded in custody

An expatriate man accused of hacking an automated teller machine (ATM) in Barbar by installing a special device has been remanded in custody pending police investigation and security photography.

 

“The accused was interrogated and confronted with the seizures which were found in his possession”, said Northern Governorate Advocate Prosecutor.

 

The Anti-Economic Crimes Directorate notified the Public Prosecution about the accused who was arrested red-handed.

 

An ATM specialized engineer confirmed that the devices which were seized were used by the accused to hack the ATM machine.

 

“The accused has experience in this field, especially as he was able to hack the ATM machine despite the available protection systems”, concluded the IT engineer.

 

The accused will stand trial at the criminal court pending completion of the investigation.
