Workshop on identifying training needs held

Manama: The Civil Service Bureau(CSB) in cooperation with the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) organized a workshop to identify the training needs of the government entities.

Undersecretaries, assistant undersecretaries and directors attended the event, which comes in implementation of the decisions of the Executive Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

The Director-General of (BIPA), Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, has stressed that government leaders are essential partners in the development of capacities and competencies of employees in the public sector, by upgrading the strategic thinking of these leaders, moreover government training plans will be developed to meet the actual training needs of employees in the public sector and harmonize the strategic plans of each ministry, thus, each trainee will benefit from the training program effectively, which will contribute to the improvement of the human element under the policy of rationalization of expenditure.

For his part, the Director General of Human Resources Development and Performance Adel Heji Ibrahim Mohammed said that CSB is always looking to develop and raise productivity and efficiency of government services to improve human resources in the civil service sector at the Kingdom, furthermore, he explained the importance of training and development as an important means to enhance efficiency of the organizational performance by improving the performance of employees and imparting knowledge, skills and behaviors required by their duties and responsibilities, he also stressed that the benefit of training comes only through a scientific methodology to determine the training needs of employees to perform their work and to achieve the best results and outputs.
