Heads of the Gulf press associations have today held a meeting in the kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting which was held in the presence of Saudi Journalists Association Chairman Khalid Al Malik, was also attended by Bahrain Journalists Association Chairman Isa Al Shaiji, UAE Journalists Association Chairman Mohammed Al Hammadi, Kuwait Journalists Association Chairman Adnan Al Rashid and Oman Journalists Association Chairman Dr. Mohammed Al Araimi.
They discussed proposals to amend the statute of the Gulf Press Union, and set amendments and procedures that contribute to developing the work of the union, and strengthening its role at the regional and international levels.
They commended Bahrain’s support to the Gulf press, active contributions to the union and hosting the headquarters of the Gulf Press Union which was founded in 2005.
