Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, on the occasion of McLaren winning first place at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix 2024.

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Special Representative of His Majesty the King, on the occasion of McLaren’s first-place victory at the Dutch Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship.
His Highness emphasised that the success reflects the interest of His Majesty the King in enhancing Bahrain’s position and achievements on both regional and international levels, with the continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Monday received a phone call from Josep Borrell, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Discussion between the pair reportedly focused on the most recent developments in southern Lebanon and the broader region.
Borrell reaffirmed the EU’s support for Lebanon’s demand for the immediate implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Both Bou Habib and Borrell expressed disappointment over the lack of progress in the latest round of negotiations led by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza.
The two officials emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, viewing it as the essential step to curbing the ongoing escalation and preventing a full-scale regional war.
Minister Bou Habib also urged the European Union to exert pressure on Israel to cease its ongoing aggression against Lebanon and to comply with Resolution 1

Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, on Monday received Levon Amirjanyan, the representative of the International Organization of La Francophonie in the Middle East, at his office in the ministry.

Flags have been lowered to half-mast in front of the Grand Serail on Monday following a memorandum issued by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, declaring official mourning for the passing of former Prime Minister, Salim Hoss.
The memorandum mandates that flags on all government buildings, institutions, and municipalities be flown at half-mast for three days.
Additionally, radio and television stations have been instructed to adjust their regular programs in line with the solemn occasion.
